I’ve always had a fear of writing, despite my limitless word minimum I must meet daily and knack for conversation. Yet, for years, I’ve dreamed to start a blog and share my experiences and for one reason or another I pushed it aside.
So, here I go, throwing caution to the wind. Sure, there are countless rules and tutorials out there, but I’m diving in, hoping to connect with others like me: single moms, parents of teenagers, and anyone struggling with the daily grind both personally and professionally.
Join me on my journey of self-discovery, where I’ll tackle topics like job hunting, resume writing, and the ever-evolving world of abbreviations. Seriously, when did words get so long that we had to shorten them? It’s like a less fun version of Pig Latin, but with kids speaking in front of us instead of behind our backs.
As for job concerns, being the director of multiple lives should count as a full-time job. I wear many hats: mediator, chef, facilities manager, supervisor and accountant to name a few.
So, while I appreciate technology, I could do without the abbreviations and seeing the top of my son’s head more than I see his face.
College prep has become a whole new ball game, with scholarships, grants, and loans galore. I’ve spent countless hours researching grants and compiling notes. It may be early, but hey, I’m a prepared kind of chic.
In the spirit of camaraderie, I’ve included a link for a free template download to kickstart your college dreams. Let’s support each other and shine together.
Lastly, a gentle reminder: these are my opinions, and this platform is about kindness and support. If you feel the urge to comment, reach out, and let’s have a constructive conversation. We’re all in this together.
